Memories Of The King

Starring William Stiles

Do you believe in fate? Like Elvis, William Stiles is a lean six-footer, has piercing blue eyes, black hair, and Elvis's sensual voice. His birthday is only a few days apart from Elvis's and William also hails from Memphis. Having parents who were professional musicians William was encouraged to experience all genre's of music. Being from Memphis he grew up enjoying the same styles of music that influenced Elvis. While serving in the Army, he was stationed in Germany on the same base as Elvis. William's talent, good looks, sensuality, charisma, and humor endear him to thousands of his loyal fans, as does the humility and kindness he demonstrates.

Charlie Hodge who Elvis's Best Friend, Memphis Mafia Member, and Stage Manager Honors William For 17 years, Charlie Hodge lived at Graceland, was Elvis's sideman onstage providing harmony, playing guitar, handing Elvis his water, and scarves. Things he did that weren't publicized was helping Elvis build his vocal range, making his onstage songsets, helping Elvis with hiring his muscians and backup singers. Charlie being a tenor singer in a televised gospel quartet in the 50's, The Foggy River Boys, formed the group with childhood friend Bill Gaither. Through Charlie Elvis was introduced to the gospel quartet spirituals he would later record and win three grammy awards. He was the only known male singer to have recorded a duet with Elvis intitled "I Will Be Home Again" and he appeared in several of his movies.

Charlie's honest opinion about William in his own words was "The first time I heard William, I was very impressed. His voice took me by surprise in such a way that I had to step back and listen again. William is the closest resemblance to Elvis's voice that I have ever heard and he's got an impressive vocal range." - Charlie Hodge

William was mentored by Charlie Hodge for five years both onstage and off where he taught William how to present the most authentic performance to that of Elvis's live concert performances of any Elvis tribute around. William performed as Elvis with Charlie nightly at Memories Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in a legends show. Along with guiding William to become the best Elvis tribute act around Charlie would also sing harmony, play guitar, and give William scarves the very same way he did in every one of the 2000 sold out concerts he performed onstage with Elvis.

Respect from someone who has been there. I am Frank Ricci, and have had the pleasure of producing and/or co-starring with numerous major stars like Reba McEntire, Tony Bennett, Don Rickles, B.B. King, the late Tammy Wynette and Marty Robbins, and many more. I can honestly say, I have never heard or seen anyone bring Elvis to life as authentically as William Stiles.
